Comfort Monitor FAQ
We install an Ecobee smart thermostat. It gives you full control of your home's temperature from your phone, learns your schedule, and connects to our monitoring system so we can track your system's health remotely. The thermostat is yours to keep as long as your plan is active.
The smart thermostat tracks your HVAC system's performance patterns: runtime cycles, temperature differentials, efficiency trends. When something looks abnormal, like unusual cycling, temperature drift, or a sudden efficiency drop, our system flags it and we reach out to schedule a check before a full breakdown happens.
The air quality sensor measures particulate matter, humidity, and VOC levels in your home. It connects to the Ecobee app so you can see your indoor air quality in real time. If conditions deteriorate, we can recommend solutions like filter upgrades, UV purification, or ventilation adjustments.
Each month you receive a report showing how your system performed: total runtime hours, energy consumption trends, efficiency metrics, and how you compare to previous months. If we spot a pattern that suggests declining efficiency, we flag it and recommend action before your bills climb.
Heating and cooling systems have different components that need attention at different times. A fall tune-up prepares your furnace or heat pump for winter. A spring tune-up prepares your AC or heat pump for summer. Two tune-ups per year is the industry gold standard for keeping systems in peak condition.

Yes, you can change plans at any time. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. Upgrades can be applied immediately. If you upgrade to Total Care, you get same-day priority service and waived diagnostic fees on top of everything in Comfort Monitor.
No. The Comfort Monitor plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime without penalties. If you cancel, the smart thermostat stays on your wall and continues to work as a regular thermostat, but the monitoring connection and proactive alerts are discontinued.
