Example Calculation

A Patchogue homeowner replacing an oil furnace with a 3-ton cold-climate heat pump gets a $4,000 PSEG Long Island rebate at market rate, bringing a $19,000 installation down to about $15,000, before the ongoing Rate 580 discount on winter electric usage. Homes in a Disadvantaged Community and income-qualified households land on a higher tier and pay less, but PSEG sets the tier after they verify income and check the address, so we quote the market-rate amount until that comes back.

The PSEG Long Island rebate is tiered by income: $4,000 at market rate, $5,000 for moderate-income households, and $7,500 for income-qualified households under 60% of state median income. Income-qualified households may also add NYSERDA EmPower+ weatherization. This question is optional, and we do not store your answer.
