Yes. We offer emergency HVAC service for no-heat and no-cooling situations. Maintenance plan members receive priority scheduling for emergency calls. During normal hours, same-day service is available for most issues.
Heat Pumps
Yes. Long Island homeowners who switch to heat pumps typically save 30-50% on heating costs compared to oil. With PSEG, NYSERDA, and federal rebates often totaling $7,000-$10,000+, the upfront cost drops significantly. Most systems pay for themselves within 5-7 years through energy savings alone, and you get air conditioning included.
Modern cold-climate heat pumps operate efficiently down to -13F. Long Island winters rarely drop below the teens, which is well within the comfort zone for current models from Mitsubishi, Daikin, and Carrier. If you want extra peace of mind, a hybrid system pairs your heat pump with a backup furnace or boiler for the coldest nights.
Absolutely. A hybrid or dual-fuel system pairs your new heat pump with your existing oil boiler. The heat pump handles heating efficiently most of the year, and the boiler kicks in only during extreme cold snaps. This is a popular choice for Long Island homeowners who want lower bills without removing their boiler right away.
Repairs
Most AC repairs on Long Island cost between $150 and $600 depending on the issue. Simple fixes like a capacitor replacement run $150-$250. Refrigerant recharges with leak repair cost $300-$600. We charge a flat diagnostic fee and give you the full repair cost upfront before any work begins.
As a general rule, if your AC is over 12-15 years old and the repair costs more than half the price of a new system, replacement makes more financial sense. Newer systems are significantly more efficient, which lowers your monthly energy bills. We always give you both options with pricing so you can make an informed decision.
Yes. If you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied as a credit toward the total repair cost. You only pay the diagnostic fee separately if you decide not to proceed with the repair.
Maintenance Plans
At minimum, once per year. The industry standard is a heating tune-up in fall and a cooling tune-up in spring. Annual maintenance catches small problems before they become expensive breakdowns, keeps your system running at peak efficiency, and extends equipment lifespan by several years.
Yes. Comfort Monitor and Total Care plan members receive a smart thermostat at no additional cost, installed during your first tune-up visit. The thermostat is yours to keep as long as your plan is active. It connects to our monitoring system and gives you full control of your home's temperature from your phone.
Yes. Our maintenance plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can cancel at any time without penalties or cancellation fees. Most members stay because the savings and priority service more than cover the monthly cost.
Pricing & Financing
Yes. We offer multiple financing options including 0% APR plans for qualified buyers. Most applications get a decision within minutes. You can apply during your estimate visit or from home using a link we send you. Financing can be combined with rebates to reduce your monthly payment even further.
Yes. All installation estimates are free and include an in-home assessment, Manual J load calculation, equipment recommendation, and a written proposal with your full rebate breakdown. There is no obligation and no pressure.
A whole-home heat pump system on Long Island typically costs $12,000-$22,000 before incentives. After stacking PSEG rebates (up to $5,000), the federal tax credit (up to $2,000), and NYSERDA incentives, most homeowners pay $8,000-$16,000 out of pocket. Income-qualified households may pay nothing through PSEG Home Comfort Plus.
Rebates & Savings
Yes. Federal tax credits, PSEG rebates, and NYSERDA incentives can all be combined on the same project. A typical Long Island homeowner stacking all available incentives saves $7,000-$10,000 or more. We build your personalized savings breakdown into every proposal.
Yes. We complete and submit all PSEG and NYSERDA rebate applications on your behalf at no extra charge. For federal tax credits, we provide the manufacturer certifications and documentation you need to claim the credit on your tax return.
PSEG Long Island offers standard heat pump rebates for all customers and the Home Comfort Plus program for income-qualified households. Home Comfort Plus can cover up to 100% of installation costs for eligible homeowners, including insulation and weatherization. We check your eligibility during the estimate visit.
