About Andrew
Nearly two decades around this equipment
Andrew Blom is the owner of Patchogue Heating and Air Conditioning. He has worked in HVAC since 2007, and most of that career has been spent around exactly the equipment this company installs.
That includes nine years at Daikin, one of the largest heat pump manufacturers in the world, three years at Johnson Controls, and a year at Albireo Energy, along with years in the field as a service technician. The manufacturer side taught him how these systems are actually engineered; the field side taught him how they hold up in real Long Island homes.
It is why PHA leans the way it does, toward heat pumps, ductless systems, and getting homeowners off oil. Andrew has spent most of his working life with this technology, back when cold-climate heat pumps were still a hard sell and now that they are the obvious answer for a lot of Suffolk County homes. He writes the guides and answers the questions on this site himself.
Andrew runs PHA with Peter Montana, who handles operations and the field crew. You can read more about both of them on the about page.
