HVAC Services We Provide in Islip

Heat Pump Installation in Islip

Islip runs a wide spread of housing, from early 1900s homes south of Montauk Highway near the bay to the 1950s and 60s capes and ranches north of the tracks. Heat pump installation in Islip depends heavily on which of those you own. The postwar homes usually have ductwork we can reuse once we verify it's sealed and sized right, while the older places near the water often have no ducts at all and are better served ductless. All of Islip is on PSEG Long Island, so every install we quote qualifies for the current PSEG Long Island heat pump rebate. Learn more about heat pump installation

AC Repair in Islip

Homes south of Montauk Highway toward Champlin Creek and Nicoll Bay sit close enough to salt air that condenser coils and electrical contacts corrode faster than they do inland. Same-day AC repair in Islip covers the usual capacitor and contactor failures, refrigerant leaks at brazed joints, frozen coils from restricted airflow, and fan motor wear, plus the corrosion-driven failures we see more of near the water. We'll tell you honestly when a coil is too far gone to be worth repairing. Learn more about AC repair service

Furnace Repair in Islip

Much of Islip north of Union Boulevard runs forced-air gas furnaces, a lot of them original to 1960s construction or first-generation replacements from the 80s. Same-day furnace repair in Islip handles ignition control failures, draft inducer problems, flame sensor faults, and blower wear across every major brand. When a furnace passes twenty-five years and the repair bills start stacking up, we'll lay out the repair-versus-replace math straight instead of just quoting the part. Learn more about heating repair

Boiler Repair in Islip

The older housing stock closer to the bay runs a real share of cast-iron boilers feeding hot water baseboard or original radiators. Boiler repair in Islip covers the standard failure points on that equipment: circulator pumps, expansion tanks, aquastats, low water cutoffs, and zone valves. Same-day service is the norm through heating season, and our trucks stock parts for the brands common to Islip's older homes. Learn more about boiler repair

Heat Pump Repair in Islip

Islip has added heat pumps steadily as older heating equipment reaches end of life and PSEG rebates push the replacement decision. Heat pump repair in Islip covers ducted retrofits and ductless mini splits across every major brand. The common calls are refrigerant charge problems, defrost cycle faults, blower motor wear, and outdoor unit communication errors. On the waterfront blocks we also check the outdoor coil for salt corrosion, because that shortens the life of a unit nobody rinses. Learn more about heat pump repair

Central Air Installation in Islip

A good number of Islip's postwar ranches and capes were built with forced-air heat and no cooling, so summers still run on window units. Central air installation in Islip often means adding a coil and condenser to the existing ductwork, or stepping up to a cold-climate heat pump that covers both cooling and heating from one system. When the ducts are sound we reuse them and keep the job tight. Because all of Islip is on PSEG Long Island, every rebate-eligible system we quote qualifies for the current PSEG Long Island heat pump rebate. Learn more about central air installation

Ductless Mini Splits in Islip

The older homes south of Montauk Highway are the reason we install so many mini splits in Islip. Plaster walls, no duct chases, and additions that were never tied into the original heating system make ductless the practical answer. One outdoor unit feeds one or more indoor heads for quiet, zoned heating and cooling with nothing to run through the ceilings. The PSEG Long Island heat pump rebate applies here too, which brings the cost down further than most homeowners expect. Learn more about ductless mini split installation

AC Tune-Ups in Islip

A spring AC tune-up is what keeps an older Islip system from quitting on the hottest afternoon of the year, and near the water it matters more because coils foul faster. We check the refrigerant charge, clean the coils, test the capacitor and contactor, and flag the small failures before they leave you without cooling in July. It's the cheapest visit we do and it heads off the emergency call. Maintenance plan members get it included along with priority scheduling and no trip fee. Learn more about AC tune-up service

Pool Heat Pump Service in Islip

Pool heat pumps are common in Islip backyards, and when the water won't warm up at opening the right call is an HVAC company, not a part-swapper. A pool heat pump is the same refrigerant system as the one that heats your house, just moving heat into the water through a titanium heat exchanger. We service Hayward, Pentair, AquaCal, and Raypak units in Islip with manufacturer diagnostic tools and EPA-certified refrigerant handling, the same techs who work on home heat pumps every day. Local Expertise

Why Islip Homeowners Trust Us

Islip is the seat of the town that carries its name, and the housing reflects a much longer history than the tract developments further east. South of Montauk Highway you get homes that predate the war, some of them close enough to Champlin Creek and the Great South Bay that salt air is a real factor in how long outdoor equipment lasts. North of the tracks it shifts to the familiar 1950s and 60s capes and ranches. Those two halves need different answers, and we quote them differently.

We serve Islip homes along Main Street and Montauk Highway, up Islip Avenue and Brentwood Road, around Union Boulevard, and out toward the Islip Grange and Town Hall. Whether you're in an older place near Bayview Avenue or a postwar ranch closer to Sunrise Highway, we've worked on the construction and can recommend the right system without a lot of back and forth.

Islip is served by PSEG Long Island, which means homeowners here qualify for one of the better heat pump rebates on the island. Natural gas is available through much of the hamlet, but oil is still common on the older blocks toward the water. We look at what you actually burn today before recommending equipment, so the savings we quote are the ones you'll see.

Waterfront and Salt-Air HVAC in Islip

The blocks south of Montauk Highway toward Champlin Creek and Nicoll Bay put outdoor equipment in salt air year round, and it shows up as corroded condenser coils, pitted fan hardware, and electrical contacts that fail early. It doesn't mean you need special equipment on every job, but it does change what we recommend and how we set it. We'll talk through coil coatings, mounting height, and a rinse routine that costs nothing and adds years. If a previous installer put a standard unit in an exposed spot and it's already going, we'll tell you what it will take to keep the next one alive.

Common Questions

Islip HVAC Questions

No. Islip is about twenty minutes west of our Patchogue office, straight out Montauk Highway or Sunrise Highway. We serve Islip regularly and provide same-day repair service for most heating and AC issues.

It changes the details, not the whole plan. Salt air shortens the life of an outdoor unit, so we look at where the condenser sits, whether we can move it to a less exposed spot, and whether a coated coil is worth it for your situation. We'll also show you how to rinse it down a couple of times a season, which is free and makes a real difference.

Ductless mini splits, most likely. You get heating and cooling without running ducts through plaster walls, and you can zone the rooms that actually need it instead of conditioning the whole house evenly. The PSEG Long Island heat pump rebate applies to ductless systems too. We'll come out, look at the layout, and show you what a realistic install looks like.

Maintenance Plans

Maintenance Plans for Islip Homes

Our maintenance plans are built for people who don't want to babysit their HVAC system. The Comfort plan keeps both your heating and cooling serviced every year, and the Premier plan adds a free smart thermostat, filters, and weekend service. Plan members get priority scheduling and never pay a trip or diagnostic fee, so most Islip customers get us out the moment something feels off.
